CNC Laser Cutter Programmer/Setter-Operator in Hamilton

Join a leading innovator in the building industry, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions worldwide. We're seeking a talented CNC programmer/ setter-operator to join our dynamic team and take charge of our new CNC Laser Cutter in Hamilton.

The Role:

As the programmer/ Operator, you'll be programming this new laser to cut according to customer specifications. You play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art Laser Cutter. Your responsibilities will include:

• Efficient setup and operation of the Laser Cutter
• Meeting production targets for plate cutting.
• Loading and unloading sheets and cut parts.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues
• Cleaning and maintaining the laser cutter and related equipment.
• Managing stock control and ensuring sufficient materials are available.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and waste.
• Undertaking additional training as required


This full-time role is based in Hamilton, offering Monday to Friday hours from 6am to 2.30 pm, and potential overtime opportunities depending on workload.

We're looking for a candidate with experience in operating CNC machinery, preferably with a background in Engineering or Tooling. More importantly, we seek someone who embodies a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Key qualifications and attributes we're looking for include:

• Previous machine operation experience and programming
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot machinery.
• Strong communication, literacy, and numerical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
