CNC MACHINIST WANTED

Don't just be any machinist - be a machinist building forestry equipment with a reputation for being the best in the business. That’s what we do here at Engineering Services Rotorua Ltd, the home of Ensign log handling attachments and Woodsman Pro tree harvesters and felling heads. 

We’ve been designing and manufacturing ‘tank-tough’ gear for over five decades, and right now there’s a golden opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist to jump aboard and join our talented team of 90. 

We’re a large-scale shop with an unmatched reputation for quality - so you’ll need to be on your A-game. You’ll also need to be easy going and have a decent sense of humour because the guys like to enjoy their work, and that usually means bad jokes and equally bad stories at smoko.

Role details:

• Full-time role (guaranteed 40 hours) 
• Rotorua location
• Minimum five years experience working in similar roles 
• Hourly rate $33 - $46 depending on experience

Key tasks include:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machines 
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce precision components
• Use measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Make adjustments and rework components as necessary
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in machinery and equipment
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including specifications, measurements, and materials used
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
