Commercial Business Analyst - Urgent Hiring

As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our business strategy, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, to identify opportunities, analyze market trends, and develop strategies that maximize profitability and drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake and maintain detailed cost modelling and analysis that clearly identifies the current overhead and operating cost structures and allows the business to have confidence in modelling future revenues and costs against current and potential customer supply/delivery contracts.
• Further develop the business performance reporting for each customer relationship to measure both the performance of the business in meeting the agreed KPIs and the financial performance of each contract on an individual P&L basis
• Prepare analysis to ensure high-quality decisions to advance the business and increase profits.
• Assist/Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and meet Company revenue and profit targets for regions and Division as a whole.
• Undertake monthly reviews, identifying anomalies, and interpreting any variations.
• Analyse weekly and monthly Revenue data, identifying positive and negative trends with recommended corrective actions.
• Review KPI’s detailing trends, identifying positive and negative trends with recommended corrective actions.
• Review KPI’s monthly.

Requirements

• Accounting degree
• Membership to CA or equivalent (advantageous)
• 3+ year solid experience in a commercial environment
• Sound exposure to Financial and Management accounting disciplines.
• Ability to budget and forecast, based on zero-based budgeting techniques.
• Able to travel.
• Medium to advanced level of excel, able to create and interpret financial data into useful reports.
• Prior experience in Freight and Logistics industry would be advantageous but not necessary.
