The Role
We have a position available for an up an coming Commercial Broker to help us with our next stage of growth, which will suit someone that has developed some solid skills, isn't afraid to get stuck in, and sees the same possibilities we do for personal and company growth.
Duties
- Understand clients’ unique needs and objectives.
- Deliver expert, sound advice to commercial clients on Fire and General insurance products, monitor, review and adjust as necessary, according to the client’s changing circumstances.
- Establish and maintain strong trust relationships.
- Continue to build your referral partner network.
- Target SMB and corporate accounts.
- Manage an existing client base, plus develop new business.
- Manage and co-ordinate processing of clients insurance programmes and policies, including submission and issuance.
- Prepare Statements of Advice and other client quoting documentation.
Your Skills, Experience & Abilities
- NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 Insurance Strand.
- 2 years of Financial Advice experience in Commercial Fire and General.
- Exceptional customer service skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time management.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrated strong new business / sales skills.
- A co-operative personality and a positive winning attitude.
- A clean credit check and police check.
- NZ citizenship, NZ permanent residency or NZ residency, or hold a valid spouse NZ work visa with a validity of 12 months or longer that does not require sponsorship.
- Ongoing Porfessional Development and maintenance of your education and accreditation.
- Ability to follow regulatory requirements and legislation to the letter.
