Commercial Refrigeration & HVAC Service Technician

Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Waikato is continuing to grow and we are looking for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC Service Technician to join our local team.

You will work with a wide range of Waikato businesses across commercial refrigeration and HVAC sites, enjoying a varied workload, modern equipment and the support of a company that genuinely values its people.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving refrigeration and HVAC faults

• Installing and maintaining commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems

• Using technology to efficiently manage and complete work orders

• Sharing knowledge and supporting apprentices with their development

• Conducting planned preventative maintenance and reactive servicing

• Delivering outstanding customer service and building strong client relationships

• Prioritising health, safety and environmental best practice

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will enjoy variety, take pride in delivering quality work and thrive in a collaborative team environment. You will need to be able to communicate well with others and be committed to supporting both clients and your wider team.

Required:

• Proven experience working with commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems

• Full, unrestricted New Zealand driver licence

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians and administration staff

• A positive, team focused attitude and a willingness to mentor and support apprentices

• Current residence in New Zealand with the legal right to work

Preferable:

• NZQA Level 4 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning qualification or a NZ recognised equivalent

• Current Electrical Service Technician (EST) Practising Licence

• Approved Refrigerant Fillers Licence
