Communications & Engagement Partner

Connexa is New Zealand’s leading mobile tower infrastructure company, enabling a more connected digital future for Aotearoa. We design, build and manage mobile sites nationwide for telco partners like Spark and 2degrees—supporting coverage from Cape Reinga to Bluff.

With mobile data usage surging, we’re growing fast. Our portfolio of 2,500 towers will expand by a further 800 sites over the next eight years, making this a rare opportunity to help shape a young, high‑impact sector of the telecommunications industry.

As Communications & Engagement Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing Connexa’s strategy, culture, values and value proposition to life—for both our people and our customers.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, with a secondary line to the Chief Customer Officer, you’ll lead integrated internal and external communications that lift engagement, improve performance, and strengthen customer relationships.

This is a hands-on, strategic role with real influence across a growing organisation in an 18 month Fixed Term position.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Own and deliver Connexa’s internal communications, wellbeing and engagement strategy
• Design human‑centred employee initiatives that drive engagement and performance
• Bring our EVP to life across the employee lifecycle
• Lead engagement and pulse surveys end to end, translating insights into meaningful action
• Partner with leaders to improve engagement outcomes through coaching and storytelling
• Develop external recruitment campaign material to targeted audiences to share our Connexa story, culture, EVP, to attract talent and promote Connexa as a great place to work
• Create customer and industry-facing messaging that communicates Connexa’s value and service benefits
• Support customer sales, governance and industry presentations
• Manage website content, social media and PR activity
• Plan and host customer events, forums and engagement sessions
• Evolve our intranet, communication tools and templates to deliver modern, accessible experiences
• Develop metrics to measure effectiveness and support continuous improvement

You’re a confident, strategic communicator who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys building things from the ground up.

You bring:

• Proven experience in senior or strategic communications roles
• Strong background in employee engagement, change and human‑centred programmes
• Experience in product or brand marketing communications
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience creating training content and facilitating delivery
• Confidence using CMS platforms and graphic design tools
• A creative, curious mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality work at pace
