We’re looking for a connector, communicator, and engager to join our team and help bring Pams and our Own Brands portfolio to life across the Foodstuffs Co-operative.
This isn’t your traditional comms role. This role is all about joining the dots - making sure our internal audiences are informed, engaged, and proud of the work we’re doing.
You’ll help deliver functional and compelling communications that support product updates, launches, and business initiatives, while also exploring creative ways to amplify those messages in a “noisy” environment.
Te Tūranga – About the role
· Deliver clear, timely communications that support product updates, launches, and business initiatives.
· Create on-brand content that connects people to our brands, purpose and vision.
· Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure communications are aligned and effective.
· Be the facilitator between the Own Brands team and stores that need information or support about own brand products.
· Help plan and deliver internal events, activations that build pride and advocacy for Pams and own brand products.
· Keep our internal brand tools and messaging consistent, updated and well used.
· Track engagement and continuously look for ways to improve how we communicate.
He kōrero mōu – About you
You’re organised, curious, and comfortable distilling complex information into clear, engaging messages. You’re not afraid to try new things… especially if it helps your message land. You’re confident working with stakeholders at various levels and know how to tailor messages to different audiences.
You’ll bring:
· A knack for simplifying complex information and presenting it in engaging ways.
· A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
· Strong writing skills, with a sharp eye for tone and clarity.
· Excellent organisation and time management – you can juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is a bonus.
· An interest in retail, FMCG, and how co-operatives operate.
You’ll have:
· Experience in communications, internal engagement, or a related field – whether you’re early in your career or looking to take the next step.
· Confidence working across teams and tailoring communications to different audiences.
· Exposure to a commercial or customer-focused environment; FMCG (particularly in Foodstuffs) is a bonus.
· Experience working in a large or complex organisation is also a bonus.
