Position Overview:

As a Community Engagement Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in co-designing, implementing, and facilitating life-changing programs for our diverse participant base. You will work closely with individuals to provide mentorship, guidance, and support, fostering an environment that encourages personal growth, skill development, and community engagement.  

Responsibilities: 

1. Facilitation and Coaching:

  • This is a Primary part of the role.
  • Lead workshops, classes, group sessions, and one-on-one meetings with participants, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Engage with diverse groups, spanning from secondary school students to adult learners, and make a meaningful impact across various learning cohorts.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

2. Mentorship:

  • Build meaningful relationships with participants, serving as a mentor and role model.
  • Offer personalized support and advice to help individuals navigate their personal and professional pathways.

3. Community Engagement:

  • Foster a sense of community among participants, promoting collaboration and peer support.
  • Attend, organize and/or participate in community events, workshops, and networking opportunities.

4. Program Design and Implementation:

  • You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with our Senior Team to co-design, develop and execute engaging and interactive programs tailored to the unique needs of our participants.
  • Collaborate with the program team to create curriculum content that aligns with our mission and values.

5. Monitoring and Evaluation: 

  • Track participant progress and assess the effectiveness of programs through regular evaluations.
  • Use feedback to continuously improve and enhance program offerings.

You will also get to journey between our vibrant locations throughout Auckland, Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty, adding a change of scenery and adventurous dimension to your role.

Qualifications and Experience:

Our preference is that you have one or more of the below qualifications and/or experience:

  1. Must have restricted or full driver’s license.
  2. Demonstrated 1-2 years of experience in facilitating with either secondary school students or adult learners. 
  3. Proven experience in coaching learners to achieve their pathways and mentoring them.
  4. An energetic sales approach to involve participants and elevate programme success.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping participants achieve their potential.
  7. Ability to adapt to the different demands and learning styles of individuals.
  8. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  9. Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
  10. Adult Learning Certificate or equivalent
