We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Community / Peer Support Worker to join our Alcohol and Other Drug Services team.
In this role, you'll work alongside whaiora as they navigate their recovery journey, providing practical support, encouragement, and connection. You'll help create a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment where people feel respected, supported, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
About the Role
As a Community / Peer Support Worker, you'll provide day-to-day support to whaiora accessing our Alcohol and Other Drug services. Working alongside clinical, case management, and nursing staff, you'll contribute to a coordinated and person-centred approach that supports recovery, wellbeing, and positive life change.
This is a part-time position, working 25-30 hours per week.

Experience working within health, social services, community support, mental health, addiction, or related sectors would be highly regarded. Experience supporting people experiencing trauma, homelessness, or other complex challenges would be advantageous.
