About the Role

We are seeking a full-time companion animal veterinarian to join our team. First Vets is a Companion Animal general practice, open 6 days a week, boasting a full IDEXX Diagnostic Suite, digital x-ray and dental x-ray capability.

We’re a tight knit team (we love a good quiz night!) and we’re always on the lookout for new ideas and initiatives that help our customers and our community. We work very closely with the Whanganui SPCA, and we’re often involved in local charity initiatives like Pack the Bus, where we collect donations of food, bedding and treats and for animals in need.

Key attributes:

• Experience preferred, but recent graduates with enthusiasm and confidence considered


• Commitment to client services with a professional attitude


• Willingness to maintain the highest level of care in a busy practice


• Good time management and proven organisational skills


• Displays great interpersonal skills to build relationships


• A desire to grow, learn and develop new skills
