About the role:

We’re looking for a Compliance & IT Manager to help strengthen and mature Board Pro’s governance, risk and compliance capability, while taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of our internal business IT environment.

This is a broad, hands-on role that brings together two important areas of our business - compliance and operational IT.  You’ll coordinate policies, controls, risk and audit readiness, while also ensuring our internal systems, access, technology vendors and IT processes are secure, reliable and well managed.

Working closely with leaders across the business, you’ll play an important role in building practical, scalable ways of working as BoardPro continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Coordinate and continue to mature BoardPro’s governance, risk and compliance programme, including our policies, controls, risk register and compliance calendar.


• Lead operational readiness for CSA STAR Level 1, while contributing to future ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness.


• Coordinate audits and assurance activities, evidence collection and remediation actions, ensuring we maintain audit-ready documentation throughout the year.


• Own the day-to-day administration and governance of BoardPro’s internal IT environment and core business systems.


• Coordinate user access, permissions, onboarding and offboarding requirements across our business technology.


• Manage technology vendors, software subscriptions, licences and technology assets, with clear ownership and lifecycle management.


• Coordinate operational information security controls, including access management, device and account security, incident management and secure working practices.


• Support business continuity, disaster recovery and incident response planning and testing alongside our CPTO and Engineering team.


• Look for smarter ways to work, including opportunities to automate evidence collection, access reviews, reporting and other repeatable compliance and IT activities.


• Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility of compliance maturity, key risks, remediation progress and operational IT measures.


• Partner with teams across BoardPro to ensure controls are practical, understood and embedded into the way we work – not simply documented.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3–5+ years’ experience across compliance, governance, risk, information security, IT operations or a related role, with the breadth and confidence to work across both compliance and internal technology environments.


• Experience supporting certification or assurance frameworks such as CSA STAR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar.


• A strong understanding of governance frameworks, policy management, operational controls and risk management.


• Practical experience administering business systems, user access, technology vendors or internal IT operations.


• Working knowledge of information security practices, access controls, business continuity and incident management.


• Experience coordinating audits or assurance activities and maintaining evidence and documentation.


• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to keep actions moving across multiple teams.


• Excellent written communication skills and confidence producing clear policies, procedures, reports and documentation.


• Highly organised, self-sufficient and comfortable balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, scaling environment.


• Strong systems capability and an interest in using technology, automation and AI to make processes smarter and more efficient.


• Sound judgement and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
