Construction Manager

Description

Following a reset, the Higgins Wellington Region is positioning themselves for growth and are on the hunt for a new Construction Manager to join the team and drive them forward!Reporting to the Region Manager you will be part of the Leadership Team for Wellington, with a strong focus on construction and the Wellington market whilst overseeing all construction projects and contracts, including all aspects of commercial and financial performance, client liaison and work programming. Relationship building will be key with you overseeing not only the winning of work but also the procurement of both sub-contractors and suppliers together with managing all performance and contractual arrangements. You will ensure adequate documentation; financial reporting systems and administrative processes are in place while managing risk management processes and procedures. What you’ll bring to the role:

Extensive proven experience in a similar type of role, with a key focus on capital works 

Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in construction and maintenance contracts

Experience in tendering and commercial as well as budgeting, management of P&L and cost control

Knowledge of the Wellington infrastructure market

Civil Engineering Degree desirable

Prove high level communication and relationship management skills

Ability to lead and motivate a high performing team
