Construction Manager - Rapid Progression

Our client is a leading electrical contractor who specialise in the design and delivery of large commercial and renewable energy projects across the country.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Construction Manager to manage the programme and construction activities for a 7MW solar farm build in Ashburton. 

The Role:

In this 5 month fixed term role, the Construction Manager is in charge of the necessary planning execution, organization and monitoring of site activities and to ensure the project is running on time and within budget. Other responsibilities include: 

• Oversee and directing the construction project from conception to completion
• Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
• Oversee the QA/QC process to ensure compliance with approved design, timelines, and safety regulations are achieved.
• Be client facing to resolve problems and provide update

You will have:

• Construction management experience on power plant/industrial projects.
• Electrical trades qualification/background
• Resilient and tenacious with exceptional work ethic.
• Personable with outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
• Site/Construction Manager on least one (1) completed solar power plant project is a bonus
