The Miraka dairy plant at Mokai, 30km northwest of Taupō, is one of only two in the world powered by geothermal energy and processes 300 million litres of milk annually. Miraka farmer suppliers are within a 100km radius of our factory.

Miraka is one of New Zealand’s largest Māori export businesses, exporting NZD $300 million of premium whole milk powder, UHT milk, frozen cream, frozen milk concentrate and customised milk powders to more than 17 countries around the world.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking someone with a sharp eye for detail, and a knack for noticing the little things that make a big difference. You’ll enjoy working with numbers and keen to learn about how milk is processed, and how this is reflected in the ERP business computer system. 

Reporting to the Technical and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for tracking ingredients and material batch and quantity use and posting these consumptions into Miraka’s ERP (business computer system).

 What you need to know:

• The position is based at our Mokai factory, 30km northwest of Taupō.
• Your hours will be 45 hours per week.
• This role will involve working alongside whanau from different departments, so if you have an outgoing personality, we want to hear from you!
• This is an 18-month fixed-term role.

 Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Through a combination of process records and process control trends trace all Milk and EDec relevant items and their use for each batch of finished product.
• Ensure Materials are correctly moved in the ERP business system to the correct location for Consumption.
• Through process records, log-sheets and process trends determine the quantity of all Ingredients and Packaging and post the quantities in the business system.
• Prepare and post Output and Consumption for all intermediate products, ingredients and materials.
• Identify Milk, Ingredient and Packaging Items with data discrepancies (quantities, locations), and help to resolve these discrepancies.
