Content & Growth Lead

You’ll be joining a small and tight-knit marketing team that is deeply passionate about what we do and how we do it.

The role

This isn't your usual performance marketing gig. Our sales cycles are long, our products are high-ticket items, and our category is extremely nascent. It’s an exciting opportunity to build demand and drive momentum for a market that doesn't fully exist yet, which means plenty of testing and learning along the way (and no bad ideas).

You'll own the platforms and content that move people through our funnel: website, email, hubspot and sales collateral, while working closely with our paid media agency to make sure we are driving high-quality demand.

What you’ll be doing

• Copywriting – Writing clear, engaging, on-brand copy across everything from website and blogs to email marketing and sales collateral.
• Website management – Bringing fresh creative thinking to our website, using performance data to inform ideas and drive improvements.
• Email strategy and execution – Owning all things email marketing from strategy and build to performance and reporting. This includes nurture sequences, campaigns, and newsletters for a range of segments.
• Sales enablement – Working closely with our BD team to understand their needs and blockers – using that to create content that moves deals forward e.g. spec sheets, LinkedIn documents, comparison guides etc.
• HubSpot & funnel insights – Running HubSpot day to day for emails, reporting and lead insights, getting under the hood to see what's working, what's stuck, and what marketing can do to help.
• AEO/GEO – Helping to develop our search and generative engine optimisation strategies, creating the content and working closely with our SEO/GEO consultant on priorities and approach.
• Paid media management – Managing the day-to-day relationship with our paid media agency, feeding them content and briefs, understanding performance and asking the right questions.
• Cross-functional collaboration – Working closely with the rest of the marketing team to support, collaborate, and lead new projects as needed.

About you

You don’t need to be an expert in marine, hydrofoiling, or electric transport. What matters most is that you’re intelligent, willing to muck in, and care about doing meaningful work.

You're a seasoned content specialist with a strong track record in growth or conversion-focused roles. You can write brilliantly and think creatively, while also being super comfortable in the numbers, understanding what's happening across our funnel and what we can do differently.

Marketing aside, you're naturally curious and take the time to understand how things work. You'll be just as interested in how our foils work as you are in writing great content.

We’re looking for someone with

• 5+ years' experience in content marketing, growth marketing, or a similar role.
• Excellent writing skills across a range of formats including website, email and sales collateral.
• Proven experience with website management and/or email marketing.
• Experience working with a CMS and a genuine curiosity about what it can tell you.
• Experience with, or an understanding of, paid media including social and search.
• An analytical mindset, comfortable digging into data and using it to guide decisions.
• A hands-on, can-do attitude. No job's too big or small.
• Enough curiosity to get under the skin of technical subject matter and craft it into great content.
