The opportunity

As a Department Manager with our Contracting Team , you are responsible for a single function within a division e.g. contracting, maintenance, drainage, paving etc. As the Department Manager, you will coordinate all on site-foreman, employees, plant resources and subcontractor teams. You could be involved in large projects in scope/size or multiple smaller projects. Our values will drive everything you do.

In addition to the above you will:

• Oversee pricing of work and preparation of tenders/ quotes/ estimates
• Project management including liaising onsite with clients and subcontractors to ascertain all requirements including SQTE and financial performance requirements
• Have financial accountability and management of your department.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Experience in the civil construction industry

• Experience in managing and developing teams
• Proven experience in financial management
