We're Hiring –  Catering Assistant / Cook

Gulf Views Rest Home is a warm, welcoming aged care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Our kitchen plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that residents enjoy every day. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable team members who take pride in their work and enjoy making a difference in the lives of others.

Available Shifts:

• Friday: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm – Catering Assistant


• Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm – Cook

Catering Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal service


• Support the cook with daily kitchen tasks


• Ensure crockery, utensils, and kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic


• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and visitors


• Follow food safety and health & safety procedures

Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with menu plans and dietary requirements


• Ensure meals are presented to a high standard


• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness


• Assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation


• Work collaboratively with the catering team to provide an excellent dining experience

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or commercial kitchens (preferred)


• A genuine passion for food and providing excellent service


• A caring, respectful, and positive attitude


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Reliable, punctual, and well organised


• Knowledge of food safety practices (Food Safety Certificate is an advantage)
