Customer and Sales Manager - Urgent Role

Chiptech design and manufacture lifesaving electronic devices from a purpose built facility in Ferrymead, Christchurch. We are looking for an experienced person to manage customer sales and relationships as the ‘face’ of the company, as well as supporting product improvements, and helping develop new business. The Customer and Sales Manager will provide drive and direction for a consistent sales and marketing delivery to achieve company plans and strategies while supporting existing customers. 

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer and the Founding Director

Manage/Supervise: Digital Marketing & Brand Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop close relationships with existing customers and new prospects nationally and internationally (ANZ Markets). 
• Ensure regular contact in person with key customers’ employees, with a prioritised focus on our top ten purchasers. Regular digital contact is also required. 
• Support customer product enquiries and help them find solutions. Escalate to key Chiptech team members for assistance where required. 
• Plan and execute sales campaigns with Sales and Support and management team.
• Analyse existing and new markets and supervise market research projects.
• Seek new customers, new markets, and new opportunities within the region.
• Customer documentation review and release
• Collect and communicate customer requirements, including forecast, product requests, issues and change requests.
• Provide exceptional customer support.
• Keep the CRM up to date.
• Meet with Operations Manager on a regular basis to review forecast.
• Maintain customer price lists and gather information on required product improvements, changes and customisation of configuration and branding packages.
• Oversee incoming purchase orders against customer price lists and product set ups.  
• Communicate supply times and delays to customers where applicable, respond to order queries.
• Assist with coordinating on-going customer training on Chiptech offerings.
• Deliver quality service and support to ensure a great customer experience.
• Write and communicate changes, or new product developments and services.
• Work with the Product Manager to develop innovative solutions based on customer feedback.
• Other relevant tasks as requested.

• To stop production of any product pending review
• To stop production of any product pending formal review
• To negotiate product pricing with customers
• Make purchases to achieve departmental objectives of up to $500+gst

Requirements:

• The candidate must be a NZ resident.
• Proven experience in a Customer and Sales Management role.
• Good references.
• This role will include travel to Australia.
