We are looking to hire an organized Customer Operations to join our cohesive team at Smartways Logistics NZ Limited in Penrose, Auckland.

At Smartways; we’re more than just your standard transport company.

Our collective mission each day is to get the right medical equipment to the right patient at the right hospital, at the right time and we pride ourselves on doing ‘whatever it takes” to exceed customer expectations.

We’ve got an ambitious plan to grow and will soon have a Smartways driver at every New Zealand hospital, every single day so we’re looking for our next Customer Service extraordinaire to join the team in Penrose.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fast paced and varied role where no two days are the same but a typical day will see you involved in customer service, sales, allocation and warehouse operations:

  • Resolve inbound customer enquiries via email and/or phone
  • Sell the Smartways service providing our customers with fast and accurate prices and quotes
  • Allocate/Dispatch bookings to our drivers to execute
  • Inspect, pick and pack customer orders ensuring high quality patient outcomes; always
  • Proactively manage the return of loaned goods
  • Contact customers providing them with live updates on their bookings
  • Manage the day-to-day movement of freight including booking, tracking, editing and closing jobs.

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have impeccable communication skills; both written and verbal
  • You’re computer savvy and know your way around a computer
  • You’re not afraid to “get your hands dirty” and do what it takes to deliver for our customers
  • You’re highly organised and resilient and therefore thrive in a high pressure environment.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, export/import, the medical industry and/or customer service but above all else have an ambitious “go getter” attitude to the task at hand.

  • Work alongside the team on site Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (some flexibility required)
