Customer Service / Vet Nurse

Franklin Vets is a growing mixed animal practice committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our clients and their animals. We’re looking for a friendly, proactive team member to work across our two community-focused clinics in Waihi.

This is a varied role that blends client care, admin support, and hands-on clinical work – perfect for someone early in their nursing journey who wants to learn and contribute.

What you’ll be doing:

• Welcoming clients, managing bookings, and confidently handling general enquiries


• Assisting with product ordering, stock receipting, and clinic administration


• Keeping the clinic clean, tidy, and well-stocked


• Helping with sterilising surgery kits and setting up consult rooms


• Supporting inpatient care (e.g., feeding, medication, monitoring) under supervision


• Assisting the on-call vet as part of the Saturday morning roster

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is currently enrolled in a veterinary nursing qualification or is a recent graduate, or is returning to work


• Has strong communication skills and is confident engaging with clients


• Brings some admin or reception experience, ideally in a clinic or customer-facing role


• Is reliable, organised, and enjoys being part of a team


• Can work weekdays and take part in a rotating Saturday morning roster
