United Flower Growers (UFG) is New Zealand’s largest flower broker. But we don't just wholesale and auction flowers. We have developed a virtual trading floor that connects florists with growers. We are not finished yet though. Over the past 12 months, we have modernised and transformed our business to prepare for the next stage of our growth journey. As a result, we are seeking a motivated, hands on, and commercially astute team player to join us as our Customer Success Manager. 

 

What you’ll do:

As our Customer Success Manager, you will enable sustainable growth, retention, support and development of our partner channels across New Zealand. This role will work closely with our CEO and other members of the wider operational team to ensure UFG suppliers and buyers are identified and well catered for. Variety will be the spice of life in this role and a keen interest in data analysis and marketing is encouraged. Specifically, you will

  • Ensure continuity and growth in the procurement of fresh flowers to our virtual auction and wholesale businesses. Ability to both hunt and farm with an eye for opportunity.
  • Responsible for the product launch and success of our new technology offerings. 
  • Create a more user-friendly experience that attracts more buyers to our auction floor. Champion the company sales CRM.
  • Script regular industry newsletters that engage our audience.
  • Gather feedback from all stakeholders and transform this into constructive business outcomes.
  • Partner with the business providing real time insights to support better companywide decision making.

 

What you bring:

  • Relevant commercial experience. A proactive self-starter that is highly organised and can manage multiple tasks with a can-do attitude. In our growing business you must embrace a no job is too big or small mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who can build strong rapport with all New Zealand flower growers and listen to buyers to obtain key insights to improve our offerings. 
  • A proactive and decisive thinker adept at managing conflict. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence sales. Remains cool, calm, and collected while driving positive outcomes.
  • A winning attitude with hunger for growth. Hands on and accountable for their own results. 
  • Capable of leveraging technology to enhance efficiencies and a patient teacher to those who aren’t as tech savvy.
  • Experience in managing long term client relationships and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Full clean license as this role comes with a vehicle and has travel requirements.
