About the role
The Insights & Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst to help deliver high-quality analysis that supports transport policy, strategy, and investment decisions.
In this role you'll work on interesting and varied transport-related topics, using data and analysis to help inform decision-making. From uncovering trends and building models to creating compelling visualisations, you'll turn information into practical insights that support better transport outcomes.

As a Data Analyst at the Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport, you'll work within a collaborative team, grow your skills and deliver insights that inform real-world decisions.
You will be part of a collaborative team that turns data into insight — producing analysis, evaluation, and reporting that helps inform better transport outcomes.

Skills and experience
You will bring experience working with data, analytical tools, and evidence-based problem solving. You will be confident exploring datasets, identifying patterns, checking data quality, and communicating insights clearly. You will be motivated by the opportunity to use data and analysis to support effective public policy and improve transport outcomes.

Salary range
Salary range for this role is $78,983 - $97,246 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
