Data Analyst

Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust is seeking a passionate Data Analyst. The successful Analyst will turn data information into insight and insight into business decisions.

The Data Analyst is an integral member of our Corporate Services team with a passion for interpretating data using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques. You will work alongside our ICT team supporting the Senior Systems Analyst with Pay Parity queries and reports as well as providing technical support to our Training division. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.

The Data Analyst is expected to be an outstanding communicator with the ability to engage at all levels. Ideally you will have knowledge of the Kōhanga Reo kaupapa and experience of working in a Māori learning environment.
For success in this position, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Data Analyst experience with an ability to learn quickly.

The ideal candidate will have:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in computer science
•Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
•Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical, lay terms.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships at all levels.
•Māori language proficiency would be an advantage.
