You will be encouraged to be innovative, propose new ideas to management and to consistently up skill and further your own knowledge.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing projects to set estimates and maintain optimal operational efficienciesEnsuring jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulationsManaging supplier and subcontractor relationships effectively - prioritising internal resourcing whenever possibleConducting yourself and communicating in a professional manner in all stakeholder interactions - ensuring any performance issues are addressed in a timely mannerDriving efficiency and cost reduction through productivity measurement and evaluationIdentifying future work opportunities and communicating them with managementIdentifying variations and informing Management and client, as well as approving all relevant purchase ordersDriving efficiency and working with management in measuring productivity and performance to drive cost downSafety, Quality & Environmental:Prioritising the safety of yourself and your team, adhering to all safety protocols, reporting any incidents or near misses and conducting thorough investigations where necessaryEnsuring compliance with environmental and understanding environmental controls put in placeEnsuring health, safety and environmental hazards are identified, assessed, controlled for all work activities every dayEnsuring all work is carried out and completed in line with specifications given, managing and rectifying any non-conformance with the support of management and completing all quality documentation requiredQualifications and Skills:To excel in this role, you'll need:BE or NZCE or significant industry experience.Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably within the maintenance (civil and/or construction) sectorA strong regard for health & safety, taking a Zero Harm approach and;Experience managing and developing teamsJoining our clients team means joining a company that values its employees and encourages personal and professional growth.
