We are currently seeking an experienced part-time Demi Chef, Pastry to join our kitchen brigade at Cordis Auckland!

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepares, presents, and displays menu items in the pastry kitchen.


• Supports the Chef de Partie, Pastry in day-to-day operations.


• Supervises and mentors Commis Chefs, ensuring standards and productivity.


• Maintains a clean, safe, and organised workspace, upholding HACCP standards.


• Assists with training, developing, and motivating the team.


• Takes initiative to create moments of “wow” for guests through pastry presentation and quality.

Our Ideal Candidate: 

• Chef/patisserie qualifications (non-negotiable for Demi).


• Experience working in pastry within hotels or professional kitchens.


• Strong leadership ability - able to support and guide junior chefs.


• High attention to detail and creativity in presentation.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.


• Flexible to work a rotating roster over 7 days covering both morning and evening shift.
