The Opportunity:
As our new Design Manager, you'll be leading an experienced design and estimation team, managing a diverse range of both customer initiated and private works on and off the Powerco network.
Get involved with a company that has a proven track record of customer and employee satisfaction, involvement in projects to implement new technologies into the network, and a cohesive team of office and field staff delivering exceptional service to our valued clients.
This role can be based at any of our four branches and is not limited to the Bay of Plenty; therefore, anyone from our four supporting regions (Taranaki, Manawatu, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty) All is welcome to apply.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop our awesome design team
Be the point of contact to ensure our team is up-to-date with client standards and requirements
Ensure our design delivery KPI’s are achieved
Develop strong relationships with our suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive pricing is obtained every time
Design and pricing solutions for a wide array of both High and Low Voltage Network projects
Assist the team in the smooth implementation of both new and existing business processes
Collaborate with a passionate team to drive our company's growth
Your Ideal Skill Set:
Experience in leading a team and the ability to get the best out of them
High level of design and estimation experience in a network environment
Proven ability to manage clients and contractors effectively
Natural talent for building and maintaining strong relationships
Keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
Expert multitasker with stellar organisational skills
Outstanding communication abilities
Proficiency with estimator software packages
Additional Valuable Skills:
Track record of successful leadership roles
In-depth understanding of Health and Safety protocols and industry standards
Comprehensive knowledge of network and design standards
Experience using estimator software packages
