The product range includes Plant Platforms, HVAC Condenser Mounts, General Mounting, Duct Support Systems, Screening Systems, Bridges, Ladders, Walkways, Handrails, Stairs and custom structures.
The Role: Monkeytoe has several exciting opportunities for Design Managers to join their Auckland, Christchurch, and New Plymouth offices. These newly created positions are part of an internal re-structuring to strengthen the regional and national design teams and increase customer service and project efficiency.
Key Accountabilities and Requirements: - Experience using 2D and 3D drafting systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor or similar parametric modelling software.
- Clear and efficient communication skills.
- Project management skills to manage and lead multiple ongoing projects ranging from rapid to long turnaround times.
- Excellent team and people management skills.
- Mentorship, management and coaching of designers allocated to your team/ project.
- Active engagement skills to manage customers to develop project designs from concept through to final approval.
- Proactive engagement with operations and business development to ensure design team and product capabilities (people and technology) are sufficient to achieve targets.
- Manage your design team to ensure reasonable lead times are maintained.
- Promote and enforce a high-level precision and accuracy within all work produced by your team.
- Ensuring OHSMS implementation in their department conforms to the company objectives.
