About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi 

As Desktop Support Manager, you will lead a skilled team of Desktop Engineers responsible for delivering a seamless digital workplace experience across ACC. Combining people leadership with deep technical expertise, you'll provide direction, coaching and operational oversight across desktop services, Windows platforms, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and mobility solutions. Working closely with the Manager, Digital Workspace & Engineering, you'll drive service excellence, continuous improvement and technology adoption, helping ACC people perform at their best while contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The appointing salary for this role is $129,565 to $138,573 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

About you | Mōu 

You will bring:

• Proven experience leading technical support or desktop engineering teams within large and complex enterprise environments.
• Significant experience supporting Windows, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Strong technical expertise across Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical escalations, incident resolution and service improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting, application support and application packaging tools.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and identity management technologies.
• Experience planning and delivering large-scale technology changes and workplace transformation initiatives.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching, continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
• A customer-centric mindset and passion for delivering exceptional end-user experiences.
• You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
