As the next addition to our friendly and professional team, you will use your knowledge and technical skills as a developer to work with clients to find out what information they need to make good business decisions. You will have an interest in all things data from source and modelling, to improving outcomes through reporting and data storytelling.

You will be highly analytical, curious and detail-oriented and will work in a project team using your creative and problem solving skills to deliver data solutions to a variety of customers.

We value flexibility and promote a healthy work life balance as a hybrid workplace. To ensure you're set up for success, we'll want you working in the Hamilton office for the first 3 months, then we'll look at options of a more flexible/hybrid approach that is best of you and your team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Modernising clients data estates by building efficient data processing solutions using Microsoft's suite of analytics and data tools including Synapse and Fabric.
• Creating data models using best practice methodologies suitable for exploration and reporting
• Telling data stories and driving change through impactful and simple reporting in Power BI and creating new ways to visualise data and engage users.
• Working with customers to extract and document data and reporting requirements.
• Coding software in accordance with Enlighten’s languages and frameworks (e.g. SQL, .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C# etc.)
• Analysing client system and design requirements
• Identify issues and risks, and support investigation to effectively solve problems
• Contribute to the development and delivery of internal projects
• Create functional and inspiring graphic designs and concepts using data.
• Working with datasets from multiple sources 
• Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and latest trends.

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science)
• Previous experience delivering a software development project involving a client.
• Good ability with English, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts in a client centric way.
• Technical understanding of systems, software and coding language(s), such as, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, .NET, C#.
• Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Have a strong focus on tasks and the ability to prioritise and manage interruptions.
• Enjoy a challenge, be adaptable in a dynamic environment and able to exercise good judgement and make clear, informed decisions
• Be a lifelong learner and thrive through change
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and/or C# and Azure would be advantageous.
