We are partnering with some of the world’s biggest QSR brands to deliver innovative solutions that transform how they do business. To help us deliver on our vision, we are looking for a supersonic intermediate level DevOps Engineer to join our team.

About the role

Supersonic is Fingermark’s innovative ordering platform, featuring touchscreen kiosks and contactless ordering experiences, hosted within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

As a DevOps Engineer in the Supersonic team, you’ll manage cloud infrastructure in a serverless environment while providing best practices, guidance, and support to our development team. This role involves designing secure, high-quality infrastructure, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the Supersonic product remains scalable and cost-efficient.

You’ll analyse application architecture, design solutions, and implement them across the stack. You’ll also contribute to product design and ideation, collaborate with stakeholders, and help to grow a DevOps mindset with a focus on operational support. You’ll also help to improve development processes through automation, and implement SRE practices to make data-driven decisions.

This is a hybrid role based in Auckland.

About you

We understand you may not have every skill listed, and that’s okay! If you have a good mix of the following and a drive to learn, we’d love to hear from you:

• Experience working with infrastructure (SysAdmin, SRE, SysOps, DevOps)


• Strong knowledge of version control tools (e.g. Git)


• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Bitbucket Pipelines)


• Experience with legacy systems and migrations


• Knowledge in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/HCL)


• Strong knowledge of cloud systems (Google Cloud preferred) including databases (Firestore, Postgres, Redis), Serverless Compute (App Engine & Cloud Run/Containers As A Service, Cloud Functions/Event Driven), Cloud Storage/S3, Iam & Admin, Compute Engine/VMs, Cost and Usage Analysis and VPC, Networking and Security


• Experience in network protocols and technologies (APIGW, Load Balancers, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, VPN, Firewalls, TLS)


• Experience with Chrome Enterprise & supporting large fleets of ChromeOS devices


• Experience with Docker and containers orchestration (Kubernetes/DockerFiles)


• Experience in at least one programming language like NodeJS, Python, Go


• Experience with monitoring tools (NewRelic, Grafana, Cloud Platform tooling)
