About the Role

As a Workshop Mechanic, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and operating at its best. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they remain road-ready and compliant.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Routine servicing and preventative maintenance


• Mechanical diagnostics and fault finding


• Repairs and breakdown response


• Completing compliance and safety inspections


• Maintaining accurate service records


• Working collaboratively with the wider workshop team

No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work across a modern and diverse fleet while continuing to develop your technical skills.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• NZQA Level 4 Heavy Automative qualification (or equivalent)


• Has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills


• Takes pride in producing quality workmanship


• Works well independently and as part of a team


• Has a strong commitment to health and safety


• Is reliable, proactive, and motivated

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, or similar equipment


• A current NZ Driver Licence


• Experience using workshop diagnostic systems


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
