Digital Channels Specialist - Collaborative Environment

We’re after a Digital Channels Specialist to join our team at ChristchurchNZ. Reporting to the Head of Content and Channels you will assist the Digital team, contributing to website management, content creation and reporting.

As Digital Channels Specialist you will:

• Manage our monthly locals’ e-newsletter, creating and distributing it to residents to increase growth and engagement with this audience.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to discover and generate content for the e-newsletter and develop strategies for growing this audience.
• Assist in the creation of engaging short-form content for the website and social media channels in alignment with our overall brand. 
• Collect and compile data for the wider marketing team using platforms such as GA4, Meta, Looker Studio and Google Ads.
• Contribute to daily website maintenance and periodically assist with project implementation in accordance with website development and maintenance plans. 

We are looking for someone who has:

• 1 – 3 years of digital marketing experience
• Experience with day-to-day website management including loading content, images and writing meta descriptions
• Short form content creation experience for websites, e-newsletters, and social media
• Attention to detail and an appreciation for the consistency of routine tasks
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal – you will be a great collaborator across all levels of internal stakeholders
• Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
• Really cares about the future of Christchurch and our ambition for this place.

Experience working in the Umbraco CMS or other well-known CMS, GA4, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads or Looker Studio is a plus, but not a requirement.
