Job Description - Director of Sales Inbound Leisure

Company Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Sales – Inbound Leisure to represent a portfolio of Accor-managed properties in New Zealand. This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate will be based in the Rotorua region at the Novotel Rotorua Lakeside and covers portfolio properties including Ibis Rotorua, Novotel Christchurch, Ibis Christchurch, and Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. If you are a driven sales professional with a deep understanding driving revenue growth in inbound leisure markets through strategic planning, team leadership, client relationship management, and market expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact!

Job Description

The Director Sales Inbound Leisure – will drive commercial performance and support the property based sales teams to deliver the overarching sales strategies throughout the portfolio hotels identifying the evolving needs of the business and owner alignment to maximize our impact in key growth areas. You will ensure that our properties are the first choice for global and regional clients.

The role also requires proactive and reactive sales activating domestic, global and regional partnerships with Travel Management Companies to drive awareness for their customers and internal company.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and executing strategies to meet commercial objectives. This is a unique chance to influence growth across key growth sectors and help us maximize our brand's reach in global markets.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior hotel sales or tourism-marketing role, with a focus on inbound or wholesale sectors.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful account management and business development essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, sales management and forecasting software/programmes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Service-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Multicultural awareness and flexibility in dynamic environments.
  • Independent, self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
  • Team player, with the ability to collaborate and contribute to team success.
  • Annual Salary $105,000 -$110,000
