Dispatcher - Fixed Term

We’re passionate about our role in delivering the finest of Kiwi food, and it’s our people in depots and out on the road every day who work vigilantly to ensure the safety and freshness of the product we store or deliver. Our people drive our business, literally!

This is a 6-month fixed-term position covering maternity leave, based at our Takanini depot.

Whilst you won’t be on the road, your energy and focus will be on all shipments/orders to and from our Takanini depot, ensuring that they are delivered or picked up within the agreed timeframes, ensuring all truck routes/loading points are optimised at all times – where possible keeping everyone ahead of schedule.

What would you be doing?  

• Plan and coordinate freight and dedicated services, ensuring smooth, on-time delivery from depot to destination.
• Be the first point of contact for drivers — supporting them with clear instructions, timely updates, and regular check-ins.
• Create accurate delivery manifests and consignment documentation that keep our operations running like clockwork.
• Proactively manage incidents, delivery delays, and overflow volumes to keep things moving and customers happy.
• Ensure all job bookings, transit records, and compliance documents are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Contribute to a high-performing team by driving process improvements and upholding safety and SOP standards.

What you'll need to be brilliant:  

• A minimum of 2+ years' experience in transport dispatch
• Knowledge of transport management systems. Experience with Truck Mate will be a huge advantage
• A strong knowledge of how FMCG works in New Zealand
• Strong planning, organising, record-maintaining and time management skills
• Sound geographical knowledge of New Zealand
