Driver Operator (Hydro Vac)

Vac U Digga is New Zealand's leading hydro excavation specialist. Hydro excavation is all we do, the level of expertise we've accrued doesn't happen overnight. It's the result of 18 years of civil construction experience and ten years of Research and Development. It's also worth mentioning that Vac U Digga is part of Intergroup which opens up all kinds of other options for future growth and development. About the role The role entails operating Hydro Excavation Units on Civil job sites Operations that would include, trenching, potholing, Service location. Our team is built on a strong buddy system for most of our work, so you've got to like working as a team. While a background in hydro excavation is ideal, it's certainly not essential. We're proud to coffer comprehensive training – an initial 4–6-week block to set you up for success, with ongoing training after that. And since driving our machines is a key part of the job, we'll also pay for you to gain your Class 2 licence, if you don't have it already. The technical stuff you'll need includes: A full class 2 license Previous experience operating a hydro excavator Must be flexible and able to work nights/weekends as required It's a physical job but one we're sure you'll enjoy.
