Nestled within a sprawling 17-hectare recreational paradise, Spencer Beach Holiday Park is more than just a campground. It's a sanctuary where guests can breathe easy, unwind, and indulge in a myriad of activities amidst a 70-hectare forest reserve. And the best part? We're just a 20-minute drive from the city and airport, and a mere 500m stroll from the beach!

Our team is the heart and soul of our park, consistently going above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our community. We're looking for a Duty Officer to join our Cleaning Team and help us take our services to the next level.

As a Duty Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring we not only meet but exceed our guests' expectations. This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily cleaning of toilet/shower and kitchen blocks
• Assisting with housekeeping and laundry
• Organisation of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Exterior cleaning of buildings
• Rubbish and recycling runs
• Assisting in training, and working with other camp staff on cleaning duties
• Assisting camp staff with other areas as needed, such as gardening, maintenance, and mowing

We're looking for someone who:

• Takes pride in their work and cleans to a high standard
• Is physically fit and capable of full days of physical duties
• Is friendly and approachable to our customers.
• Can work unsupervised and following cleaning procedures
• Able to take feedback, direction and continuously improve
• A Comprehensive first aid certificate is desirable
• Has a Full NZ Drivers Licence - ability to drive a manual vehicle is preferred

Please note you will be required to work most public holidays, and the main holiday period (Christmas to Feb approx.), as this is our busiest period.

Additional information:

• Hours of work: 9:30am-2:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday 
• We can adjust work hours for the right candidate. If you can't work on a specific day, we are open to negotiating a suitable schedule.
• Salary: $26.00, living wage! 
• Location: This position is primarily based at Spencer Beach Holiday Park, Christchurch.
