The Role

AWSS are looking for a Technician / Workshop Assistant with a positive attitude to join our workshop team. The purpose of the role is to assist with automation, commissioning, and maintenance of welders, and electrical systems for our customers throughout New Zealand.

We are looking for a passionate and innovative workshop assistant, who shares the values of teamwork, enthusiasm, respect, and integrity. You will be a strong problem solver, have a technical aptitude, and logically get to the root cause of issues efficiently.

This role is permanent, Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week with the occasional day in the weekend.

To be considered for this role, it’s essential that you:

• Have mechanical/electrical knowledge and experience.
• Have experience working in a workshop.
• Have a valid New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Can work unsupervised.
• Have a hands-on attitude and the ability to work autonomously.
• Are hard-working, passionate, and committed to business excellence.
• Can think outside the box and problem solve.
• Have strong relationship building skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
