About the Job
We are a new purpose built endoscopy centre in the heart of Hamilton looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Endoscopy on Clarence Ltd. We are seeking nurses with experience working in endoscopy, recovery and theatre, however, if you are open to growing your knowledge in these areas, Endoscopy on Clarence will support you in your growth in each of these areas.
Endoscopy on Clarence is a new and progressive facility, fully equipped with the latest technology in theatre IT software. We provide first-class facilities to our patients, staff and specialists.
We are offering full-time and part-time positions to be worked on a rotating roster. Morning and afternoon day shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday but can be negotiated to accommodate commitments outside of work.
Duties will include:
- Admission/discharging of patients in a timely manner.
- Working as part of a team and handling multiple tasks safely and effectively, rotating between the ward and theatre.
- Practicing in accordance with the Domains of Competence for a Registered Nurse.
- Maintaining a current Nursing Council of New Zealand Practicing Certificate.
Skills and experience to be successful in this role:
- A high degree of self-motivation, willingness to contribute, and self-responsibility to improve and remain current with nursing skills and knowledge.
- Being able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
- Being flexible in work hours to meet service requirements.
- Provide a high level of professionalism with an enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approach.
- Endoscopy experience and experience in General Anaesthetic/Conscious Sedation.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude to teamwork and supporting others.
- Ability to work effectively with team members and Specialists.
- Providing a high level of quality care to our patients and attention to detail.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- The successful applicant must be registered with The Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current Practising Certificate.
