The Engineering Lead role offers the chance to combine technical leadership with people management to drive engineering excellence in development teams. We’re in an exciting phase of growth and this is a chance to come in early and help shape how we design and deliver seamless, market‑leading customer experiences. You’ll be part of the Digital Sales & Acquisition team, working with people who care deeply about creating outstanding home loan, everyday banking, and credit card experiences across our digital channels — the BNZ Mobile App, Online Banking, and bnz.co.nz.
What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?
One of the most rewarding challenges in this role is bringing teams together around unified standards and practices while still championing innovation and continuous improvement. It’s an opportunity to balance thoughtful technical leadership with a strong, collaborative culture while delivering ambitious, high‑impact initiatives with clarity, pace, and confidence.
