Our flagship SaaS product, Jade ThirdEye, helps financial institutions detect and prevent money laundering and terrorism financing. Every day, our technology helps keep bad actors out of the financial system, and that’s something worth engineering for.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to take charge of one of our core product squads, the Suspicious People Squad. This is not just a people role or a delivery role, it’s a leadership role for someone who loves being close to the work: solving complex problems, shaping technical direction, and building a team that’s capable of doing their best work.

What this role is really about

As Engineering Manager, you will work with other Managers to establish what great looks like. You’ll lead a cross-functional engineering team that builds and maintains systems that help our customers detect suspicious behaviour and act fast. You’ll own both the growth and performance of your team, and the technical decisions that shape our solutions and Engineering Managers.

This is a leadership role for someone who:

The problems we tackle are complex and high-stakes, and you’ll be right in the thick of it.

What you’ll do:

• Motivate your team through SaaS & management best practices and drive high impact change for the products and careers of your team.


• Establish Engineering Management practices collaboratively with other Leaders


• Build and lead a collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving cross functional engineering team.


• Shape technical direction and stay close to the detail, from architecture to code to deployment.


• Partner with Product and Design to plan, prioritise, and deliver solutions that create real customer value.


• Balance innovation with reliability, ensuring what we build is secure, maintainable, and scalable.


• Coach and mentor engineers while championing modern practices like CI/CD, automated testing, and security-by-design.


• Contribute to Jade’s engineering culture by sharing ideas, learnings, and raising the bar.

What you bring:

• 2-3 years’ experience of managing software teams, motivating the team and elevating products with business acumen.


• Proven experience managing software teams and growing their careers and the impact, they make.


• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in an agile environment.


• Strong system design, architecture, and coding skills, with a willingness to stay hands-on.


• A track record of delivering high-quality software, balancing pace with precision.


• Ability to guide and grow people, you coach, not command.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills; you translate complexity into clarity.


• A curiosity for how technology shapes customer outcomes and business value.


• Bonus: experience in SaaS, financial services, or AML/RegTech domains.
