About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for either a New Graduate Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse to join our nursing team in a 12-month fixed-term position.

This role is perfect for someone looking to build confidence and capability within primary healthcare. You will work alongside experienced clinicians who are committed to supporting your professional growth through mentoring, coaching and hands-on learning opportunities.

You will gain valuable experience across patient assessments, preventative healthcare, health promotion, chronic disease management and day-to-day nursing care while contributing to positive outcomes for patients and whānau.

What You Will Do

• Assist with the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
• Support patient assessments, observations and clinical procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Assist with triage and identify patients requiring timely review.
• Support preventative health programmes, recalls and screening activities.
• Deliver health education and wellbeing advice to patients and whānau.
• Assist with infection prevention and control activities.
• Support stock management and clinic operations.
• Participate in ongoing training, development and quality improvement initiatives.

What You Must Have

New Graduate Registered Nurse

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate.
• Recent completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification.
• Strong commitment to learning and professional development.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Enrolled Nurse

• Current New Zealand Enrolled Nurse Annual Practising Certificate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
