Join Connected Communities – a NEW corporate initiative that strengthens community by equipping whānau with mental health and wellbeing tools and strategies

• Seeking experienced Counsellors, Social Workers, and Psychologists to support this NEW mental health initiative that is trying something different!
• Support facilitating workshops with whānau, share mental health tools and strategies to support wellbeing 
• Participate in evening workshops (remotely or in Auckland). Hourly charge rate negotiated.

Targeting businesses that operate under high pressure and demanding settings and circumstances (ie. Construction, Medical, Farming, Emergency Services) – Connected Communities supports the employee (and the organisation they work for) by providing mental health and wellbeing tools and strategies to their whānau.

By equipping the employee’s whānau, we are ensuring that mental health and wellbeing is seen, prioritised, and supported within their households, while they are busy dealing with the pressures of their roles. 

The content and structure will largely be driven by what the community want to address – ie. the topics/themes the community want to cover, the frequency of the workshops and how they will be held (in person or online). It is proposed that the Connected Communities programme would include up to 9 workshops involving your time as a Mental Health Specialist. 

What is the commitment of your time?

This is a new initiative so in all honesty the commitment of your time is not fully known yet. 

We want the community to have input into how the workshops are structured (it is likely that these workshops will be held in the evening). However, it is assumed that the Mental Health Specialist would be involved in up to 9 one-hour workshops, with each workshop requiring an additional 2-3 hours for preparation and debriefs.
