Nature of the role / te āhuatanga o te tūranga
Our Events and Fundraising superstar is going on 12 months maternity leave, leaving us to seek that special someone to fill her shoes.
We are looking for that special someone who is proactive, creative, and dynamic who thrives in a team environment, but also enjoys working autonomously. In this Events and Fundraising Assistant role you will work alongside our Director of Marketing and Fundraising for fundraising events, campaigns, and community engagement. You will be engaging with a diverse environment - connecting with local business, community organisations and creating new networks.
You’ll be responsible for event operational logistics, making grant applications, supporting our Gifts in Wills development, and working with a range of volunteer and staff teams. There is an administrative aspect to the role as well, recording and reporting on marketing and promotional activity.

What you will bring / ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga
To be successful in this role you will have some demonstrated experience in running events, excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively work with a range of people. You must have strong computer literacy and be willing to work the occasional weekend and late night.
You will be:
Promotional experience would be desirable as well as any previous experience working with volunteers or in the not-for-profit sector.
