Job Description - Executive Assistant / Broker Support

Our Role
Warren Borlase Insurance & Financial Planning Limited has an Executive Assistant / Broker Support opportunity based in Nelson CBD. This may suit someone wanting exposure to the finance industry or a person who has prior finance/insurance experience but is ready to develop in a small but high performing business. 

Our role includes:

  • Assisting seniors with client accounts including corresponding with clients on confidential matters
  • Controlling, collecting, and maintaining insurance related records and data
  • Preparing underwriting submissions, applications, and renewal proposals, including collecting relevant underwriting data
  • Responsibility for client facing office services (phone calls, incoming enquiries and visitor co-ordination)
  • Developing and maintaining effective information storage and retrieval systems (electronic and paper)
  • Proofreading and editing documentation
  • Undertaking continuous improvement processes for the office.

Requirements
If you have an interest in finance/insurance, solid administration, EA experience and genuinely enjoy providing top quality service to clients this role may be for you. 

Additionally, our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven administration and customer service skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • An ability to self-manage and use initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail – likes the fine print
  • Sound organisational and time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build and maintain productive client and collegial relationships
  • A 'results' focused attitude
  • Solid written/verbal communication skills and is calm under pressure
  • A confidential and professional work ethic
  •  A certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5) or an interest in attaining this qualification.
