Job Description - Executive Assistant to the Founder / CEO

Our opening statement:

Just a few weeks ago our founder Joshua Crosbies won the 2024 Hi-tech young achiever award, and in 2022 we won the New Zealand Security Association Award for the Most Outstanding New Product or Service of the Year for our tower product.  In 2023 our Monitoring Software was a finalist in the 2023 Outstanding Security Performance Awards, and our business won Best Emerging Business at the Auckland Business Awards. So this role as the direct Executive Assistant to the CEO/Founder has a big role to fill and must have a hunger to help Joshua and the company keep on winning.  

You will be joining a winning team to support Joshua and the companies growth.  No one does what we do in our market better. You will help ensure the CEO/Founder (Joshua's) life is organizes so seamlessly that together the company can create new tech and deliver exceptional results consistently.

 

About the role:

We can't teach attitude or cultural fit. So your interview will include a significant time allocation to ensuring you have a great attitude and you'll fit within our culture. But more importantly, you'll lead it.

We're looking for your history of proven results, from as far back as we can! If you have a long-term history of delivering results, we want to hear from you.

So what will you do day in, day out?

  • Be The Go-To Person: Be that person in our organisation that is the ‘go-to person’ for all things founder related. You need to have your finger on the pulse and be in the know of what is going on around you especially the CEO/Founder to ensure he can operate at his maximum capacity.
  • Problem Solve: You'll know how to get around tough challenges and be able to pivot like a Silver Fern as and when the business requires it.
  • Strong Prioritisation: You will need stong prioritisation skills and the inherent ability to multi-task a busy CEO/Founder and workload.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with all of some of the following;

  • A proven background and success in an EA or PA role, ideally at a CEO or Senior Management level
  • Will need to love technology and love learning about new technology and be ready to jump fully into the world of AI
  • Ideally has experience in meeting minute taking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience taking minutes and drafting correspondence on behalf of others
  • Proven relationship management skills
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite and communication platforms i.e. Zoom and Microsoft Teams with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • The ability to multi-task, handle pressure and work to deadlines
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Professional, discrete and diplomatic manner
  • A can-do, solution-focused attitude with the ability to recognise and implement improvements

Skills and experience: 

We are looking for someone who has the following skills & experience:

  • The right to work in New Zealand.
  • Excellent English communication, both written and verbal. .
  • Ability to prove your results. With this will likely come a tertiary qualification that has relevancy to your skill.
  • We will investigative interview successful candidates. This second interview is about skill validation. This will be conducted by one of our Technical Resources.
