Experienced dental assistant

We are looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our kind and caring dental practice.

Our practice is open from Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and closed on weekends/public holidays so you don't have to worry about being rostered on for the weekend shift! We close for 3 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period each year so you can be sure that you will get to spend quality time with your friends and family during the Summer.

As our practice is part of Collective Dental you will have access to professional coaching, ongoing training and team days to help encourage personal and professional growth. You will be given the opportunity to attend courses and upskill in areas that interest you within the field.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for 35-40 hours per week

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Working with the Principal Dentist as well as associate Dentists to provide excellent clinical treatment to our patients.
• Setting up for clinical appointments prior to the patient arriving
• Maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients to receive care
• Responsible for sterilising, track and tracing and restocking your surgery.
• Responsible for equipment and gear used by Dentists and Dental Assistants.
• Booking ongoing appointments for all patients
• Providing follow up care to patients that have had complex treatments by phoning/emailing.
• Working closely with other team members to ensure that the day runs smoothly
• Recording patient notes and medical history accurately using Exact Dental software
• Payment processing

Previous dental experience is a must as this is a very busy role, however, if you have previous clerical experience in a medical field this could be considered.
