Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders and working to save lives since 1885. As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives.
An exceptional fixed term contract opportunity until June 2025 has become available within our Public Affairs and Media Relations team. As External Communications Specialist you will be responsible for advising and delivering informed, specialist external communications, with a focus on enhancing and protecting the public profile of Hato Hone St John. You'll craft compelling messaging and media releases, respond to interview requests and incident enquiries as well as organising media conferences when required.
Additionally, you will support the delivery of our Communications Strategy, creating impactful campaigns and stories that promote and showcase the incredible work of our organisation.
This is a fast-paced and high energy role which offers plenty of variety and challenge. No two days are the same here!
