About the Role:

As Windcave continues to grow strongly, we are seeing corresponding growth in our infrastructure. Therefore, we are seeking a Facilities Assistant to assist in managing our facilities in Auckland Central and Ellerslie. Working closely with the Facilities Manager based in Auckland, the role will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and soft services of office facilities.

This will be a full-time permanent role based in Auckland and hours of operation are 8:30am to 5:00pm NZT Monday to Friday. The employee will be guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours of work, per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Help manage Windcave facilities in Auckland Central and Ellerslie.
  • Assist in management of day-to-day building operations such as repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and access control (in conjunction with our IT security team)
  • Help manage reactive / planned property maintenance to ensure compliance with the latest regulations, including environmental and Health & Safety
  • Provide feedback to your manager on any Facilities concerns and actions. 
  • Adhere to highest standards of Health & Safety and work in coordination with our Health & Safety Committee

About You:

As a proactive team-contributor, you will demonstrate reliability and a can-do attitude. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will help you liaise with multiple departments for achievement of desired outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Considerable experience in Construction, Maintenance, and Cleaning
  • Good understanding of commercial/industrial facilities maintenance
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently 
  • Exceptional organisational/co-ordination skills with the ability to work independently and display initiative
  • Good problem-solving skills with an eye for detail will be an advantage
  • Experience working for a high security/ data centre or secured site will be an advantage
  • Experience working with Windcave Contractors or worked at any Windcave site will be a added bonus 

Remuneration is commensurate to expectation and industry standards. Base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 - $70,000 PA.
