 This is a Permanent Fulltime Position


 


TURANGA   THE ROLE 


As we expand our services with the construction of a new, state-of-the-art hospital building adjacent to our existing 11-year-old facility, we are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. 


This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in both the development and ongoing operations of our hospital infrastructure. Initially, you will split your time working closely with the Development Manager to support the coordination and delivery of our new hospital building project, as well as overseeing the existing facility.


Once operational, you will transition from balancing your time between the two work streams to primarily managing the facilities of both the new and existing hospital buildings, ensuring seamless, safe, and efficient operations. 


 


Key Responsibilities: 


Project Coordination (Development Project): 



  • Assist the Development Manager with day-to-day coordination of the new hospital construction project. 



  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. 



  • Support commissioning and handover processes for the new facility. 


 


Facilities Management (Operational BAU): 



  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) across both hospital buildings. 



  • Manage service contracts, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulatory standards. 



  • Ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. 



  • Develop and manage facilities budgets and reporting. 


 


KO KOE    ABOUT YOU 


We will appreciate your way of connecting with people and building great working relationships, as well as your ability to stay on top of the details and get things done right.  


Ideally, you’ll have a trade background or have completed relevant tertiary training or courses in Facilities Management—or a mix of both.as well as the following 



  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare or complex building environment. 



  • Some project coordination management
    is highly desirable. 



  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 



  • Knowledge of building systems, compliance requirements, and health & safety regulations. 



  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
