Facilities Technician

About the Role 

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team in Paengaroa. This role is hands-on and varied, covering both the practical and administrative aspects of maintaining our buildings, infrastructure, and site. You will be responsible for ensuring our facilities remain safe, operational, and compliant, while also supporting continuous improvement and future projects.
This is a permanent, 40 hours per week position, Monday to Friday. 

Key responsibilities will include; 

• Plan, schedule, and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, infrastructure, and site. 

• Manage and coordinate contractors to deliver maintenance services and improvements. 

• Ensure critical facility systems remain operational at all times. 

• Maintain the Facilities CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) and ensure records are kept up to date. 

• Ensure the site meets all food safety standards and remains audit-ready at all times. 

• Oversee procurement and contracts for site services (HVAC, gardens, wastewater, gates, etc). 

• Deliver small improvement projects and support capital project implementation. 

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards. 

About you 

We would like you to have; 

• Previous experience in a similar role. 

• Hold a New Zealand Trade Certificate or a recognized equivalent qualification. 

• An Electrical trade certificate would be advantageous but is not essential 

• Broad general maintenance skills and/or plant maintenance experience. 

• Experience with developing and implementing maintenance plans and schedules. 

• Experience with digital Maintenance Management Systems. 

• Component with the Microsoft suite in particular, Outlook, Teams, MS Word and Excel. 

• You will also have good, clear communication and organization skills, be hands on and manage the co-ordination contractors.
